How it Works

What you need to do

First, you need to stick a Salik sticker tag to the windshield of your car . The sticker is linked to your prepaid Salik account .

All you need to do is install the tag and make sure your prepaid account has enough money in it  to cover your Salik charges. The rest happens automatically.

How your Salik toll is automatically paid

Each time you drive through a Salik toll gate, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology detects your vehicle and scans your Salik sticker tag. The toll of AED 4 is automatically deducted from your prepaid toll account.

Keep driving at normal highway speeds

You don’t need to stop or even slow down when you pass through a Salik toll gate. Salik is a cleverly designed, free flow tolling system that works automatically – so you never get stuck at a toll booth, barrier or gate on a Dubai highway.

Know where the toll gates are

At the moment there are eight toll gates:
•    Al Safa (Sheikh Zayed Road)
•    Al Barsha  (Sheikh Zayed Road)
•    Al Garhoud Bridge (Sheikh Rashid Road)
•    Al Maktoum Bridge (Umm Hurair Road)
•    Al Mamzar North (Al Ittihad Road)
•    Al Mamzar South (Al Ittihad Road)
•    Airport Tunnel (Beirut Street)
•    Jebel Ali (Sheikh Zayed Road)
