In 2022, Salik’s revenue increased by 11.8%year on year to AED 1,892 million on the back of a rise in toll road usage amidst the strong recovery witnessed in the Emirate of Dubai. Reflecting the attractive concession framework and its streamlined business model, Salik achieved a net profit of AED 529 million in the second half of 2022, from the start of its concession agreement with RTA on July 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022 with a best-in-class profit margin of 55.8%.

Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world today. Salik’s toll system provides a free-flowing, digital tolling solution that can accommodate Dubai’s growing population, which is expected to reach 5.8 million by 2040, providing tailwinds for Salik’s sustained growth.

During its IPO, the Internal Sharia Supervision Committee of Emirates NBD P.J.S.C. issued a Shariah pronouncement confirming that, in their view, the Offering is compliant with Shariah principles. Investors should undertake their own due diligence for their own purposes.

Salik’s fiscal ends on the 31st of December.

The Company intends to pay dividends twice, in April and October of each fiscal year.

• The Company expects to pay a first dividend for the second half of 2022 by April 2023, and it expects to pay 100% of the net profit, after keeping aside the statutory reserve required by law (reserve expected to amount to AED 37.5 million for the first dividend).
• From 2023 onwards, the Company expects to pay 100% of the net profit available for distribution as dividend.

This dividend policy is subject to consideration of the Board of the cash management requirements of the Company’s business for operating expenses, interest expense and anticipated capital expenditures and investments. In addition, the Company expects that the Board will also consider market conditions, the then current operating environment in the Company’s markets, and the Board’s outlook for the Company’s business and growth opportunities.

All ordinary shareholders are eligible to receive a dividend if one has been agreed by the Board. Details of the dividend including percentage, value and date of entitlement will be disclosed as part of a summary of the respective General Assembly resolution related to Shareholder’s Equity.
